ISSUE

A national insurance company received an estimate to complete repairs related to water damage from a plumbing leak under the kitchen sink. After review of the estimate for approximately $400,000, the insurance company decided to seek assistance from FCC in determining a more reasonable cost for repairs.

RESOLUTION

Once retained, FCC investigated the extensive water damage within the estate home and prepared a cost opinion to repair and settle the potentially litigious claim.

FCC not only delivered a reasonable cost opinion for the damages but also obtained a bid to complete the repair work for the same cost by a local, licensed and well-regarded contractor. The cost opinion and bid allowed the insurance defense counsel to amicably and swiftly resolve the claim – saving the insurance company nearly $100,000.
